May and Part 1 of June

May was a month full of enjoying the wonderful weather! Jon and Kimberly moved to a new place that is conveniently located near 2 playgrounds! Here we are trying one of them out.

Charlotte's new favorite thing to do at a store is to get two armfuls of stuffed animals and give them a big hug, them put them back one by one. Here she is with the Sesame Street bunch.
On Memorial Day, Justin and I decided to put our new fitness programs to the test by doing a local hike up to Big Rock. It was tough, but it was worth it! The view was great and Josie still asks all the time if we can go hiking again soon.

On June 2nd, we moved from Mimi & Papa's basement (THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!) to our wonderful new home (that we bought back in March). We absolutely LOVE our new house! We all feel right at home. I was surprised with how quickly and how well the girls adjusted. We're close to a big park with a splash pad and we've tried it out a few times.
Kelley and Gavin came and tried it out with us.

Papa Sessions was in town for one night, so we had a party at our house and the kids thought it was the best thing ever to play with Papa. It was so great to see him! I didn't get any pictures, but Justin has a few on his phone, so I'll try to swipe those before the next post. :)

Charlotte has decided her favorite place to be and play is the sippy cup drawer. She loves pulling them out and putting them all away.
June has been full of enjoying the summer time: sunshine, water, and ice cream!

This last weekend, we had a family reunion (Justin's mom's family). It was a car-themed reunion and we had lots of fun making cardboard cars for the girls. We skipped the "drive-in" movie, cause it didn't start until after 8 and the girls were already crabby.

Saturday morning started with breakfast and then some "wheel-time", where the kids got to ride around on their bikes, scooters, etc.

Josie made a new best friend.
After lunch, we wrapped things up with an awesome Pinewood Derby! We made a car for each of the girls and it was a blast!

After the family reunion, we headed down to Gavin's birthday party. He's 2 now! The party was at a rec center with an awesome pool, with a slide and everything. I don't have many pictures because I was swimming with Josie and Charlotte most of the time. But here is one that sums it up pretty good:
Great party, good food, delicious cupcakes. Happy Birthday, Gavin!
Well, we're caught up for now, but June is a busy month for us, so check back soon for pictures of another family reunion and lots of fun!

End of March and April

After celebrating Charlotte's birthday, we didn't have much going on until the end of March. The last Sunday, we had a family party to celebrate the March birthdays. Charlotte and Lucas shared a cake. It was awesome!
Most of you probably know, but at the end of March, we bought a house! Hurray! We also rented to the previous owners for 2 months so that their kids could finish out the school year before they moved out of state, so we didn't move in until June 2nd.. It is a GORGEOUS house. See?? :)
The weather started warming up, so we had some outside play days:

Charlotte was bumped out of the youngest grandchild slot by 2 new baby cousins. She's a year older than them.. she should be a little bigger.. haha
Easter came around and Josie could not wait to dye eggs! We tried the Kool-aid dying method and it worked great, until it was time to peel the eggs. Then your hands became whatever color the eggs were. But we had fun anyways!

We had an egg hunt at Dan & Trisha's with all the cousins, because getting together on Sunday wasn't going to work out. The kids were so cute! Gavin kept running around yelling "Egg!" and making us all laugh. It was a lot of fun!

On Easter morning, Josie showed Charlotte how Easter baskets work, and they got right down to business eating candy.

We also had a couple of play days at Trisha's house. The kids have a wonderful array of dress-up clothes for both boys and girls, so they all dressed up.
Oh, and in April, we celebrated our 7th anniversary! I can't believe how the time has flown. It really doesn't seem like 7 years since we got married, but it had been a fantastic 7 years and we look forward to an eternity more!
I'm hoping to catch up on some blogging here, so stay tuned for the next post. :)
