3 months old

Man, time is flying! Charlotte is already 3 months old! Some days it seems like I just brought her home yesterday. Other days it seems like FOREVER. haha!
It just so happened that I was pregnant with Charlotte at the same time that 2 of my friends were pregnant. We all had little girls and they are within 2 weeks of each other!
Josie wanted to eat her snack outside. I told her to find a place to sit.. Well, it is a place and she is sitting. :)
This is a pretty typical morning while Mommy gets ready.
Here's another of Charlotte's friends. I think he's 2 days younger, but he's a big boy, and oh so cute!
Publish PostWe have lots of fun activities planned for the month of June, so hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the pictures. :)

The Month of May

This post is going to be mostly pictures with just a few explanations because, well, I had lots of pictures I wanted to post. :)
Here is what a typical Sunday before church looks like at our house:
My sweet little girls are getting so big!!
Josie is really getting into playing dress-up. Here's a pretty typical result:
Love bubble baths. Josie called this her bubble-stache. Silly girl!
Charlotte is getting too big too fast! She holds her head up very well and loves to look around and say hi.
Justin has every other Friday off, and on one of those days, we decided to take a trip down to the aquarium. It was small enough that we could just let Josie walk and check things out at her pace. She loved it!
Me and Josie measuring up to the penguins.
The had a ray petting pool. Josie loved the idea. The execution, not as much. She's get her hand in the water and as soon as one came close she'd squeal and pull her hand out and say, "Daddy, I touched it!" Here we are trying to pet them.
We stopped at In-n-out on the way home and had lunch with Nate, Kelley and Gavin. And here is Josie sporting her souvenirs from the day: In-n-out had and an aquarium sticker.
Cute baby having a nap in her swing.
Josie's new best friends were living right across the street from us. It worked out great because the 3 of them LOVED playing together. The sad news is that they had to move. Here they are on their last play date.
They were nice enough to give us their swing set that they weren't planning on taking with them. Thank you!! Josie absolutely LOVES it.
So, that's our month of May in a nutshell. June promises to be a busy, busy month, so I'll try to keep on top of blogging so I don't have to do another super post like this one. Happy summer!

April

Most of April was spent at home, continuing to adjust to having two kids. But there were a few fun things this month.
Tassia and her 2 kids came for a visit from Texas. Josie loved going down to Mimi's house and playing with her cousins. Here they are playing with play dough.

Speaking of two kids, here are my two princesses:
Josie was SO excited for Easter this year. When the time to color eggs finally arrived, she was thrilled!
April 23rd was our sixth anniversary. We got to celebrate by going out to dinner.
Easter morning was fun! We had an Easter egg hunt. Josie only needed a little bit of help finding all the eggs. We also talked about the real reason behind Easter: Jesus Christ. Josie had a little trouble getting past the Easter bunny, but she is only 2, after all. :)
Here she is with her Easter basket:
Josie got a beautiful new dress for Easter too. She loves the "Princess dress!"
We're still hoping that spring will decide to show up so we can play outside and do all kinds of fun things. Maybe next month. :)

Baby Blessing

We blessed Charlotte in church on Sunday, April 10th. Justin gave her a beautiful blessing and it was wonderful to have so much family here with us! When we blessed Josie, none of my siblings were in Utah. This time, we were happy to have Dan & Trisha and Kelley & Nate here! Here are some pictures from the day:
We had somewhere around 35 people (including the kiddos) in our little house. For those of you who have visited, you can imagine how packed it was!
Kelley made lots of desserts to share. Here were my favorites:
Bella forgot her headband, and Charlotte just HAD to try it on..
It might be a little big. :)

Thanks to everyone who came and supported us, and brought food! We had a great day!

Oh and in case you read the last post and were wondering which picture was which, Josie was on the left and Charlotte on the right. :)

Trying to catch up..

As many of you know, and I'm sure the rest of you can imagine, going from one to two kids can be a little hectic! Our transition has been really good over all, due mainly to Josie being such a great helper, but we do have our rough days and I'm still EXHAUSTED. But then the little things, like this:
make it all worth it! Charlotte is getting big these days (almost 10 lbs!). She still sleeps most of the time, but she does stay awake for about an hour at a time, and sometimes more. She smiles the most right as she's falling asleep, but she loves Mommy and I get lots and lots of smiles. It sure makes my day!

Josie still keeps our hands full. She is such a smart little girl that some days we don't even know what to do with her! She says the funniest things and I wish we could just record them all, because I sure can't remember them. Here are a few:
"Oh no, its all my fault!"
"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to do that."
"Oh, she's so cute!" (about Charlotte)
"But Mom, you need to come wif me to college."
"It was a askadent"

My wonderful sister-in-law took Josie for a couple days shortly after we had Charlotte so that I could recover and have a little one-on-one time with Charlotte. When I went to pick up Charlotte, baby Bella was suddenly not such a little baby anymore! I have a very similar picture of these little ones' older siblings when Josie was this little.. :)
Spring had been trying and trying to break free of winter. We've had a few nice days, but not many. On one such day, we went to the zoo here in Logan. By the way, they raised their prices. It costs twice as much now! ($1 for kids, $2 for adults)
We also got to enjoy General Conference during the first week of April. The conference was full of wonderful messages and I really enjoyed listening/watching it this time around! For the Sunday Afternoon session, we got together with my family who currently live in Utah at Dan & Trisha's house. Grandpa and Grandma Sessions (my grandparents) were down from Idaho. It was great to see them for a couple of hours!

I took a picture of Charlotte and it seemed oddly familiar. Probably because I had this one of Josie. The question is, which is Charlotte and which is Josie? :)

Newborn pictures

My wonderful friend Noelle was doing a 20 portrait give away, so we took her up on the offer. She did an amazing job on our family pictures last year, so I jumped at the chance to have her do Charlotte's newborn pictures. Once again, we got wonderful pictures!! Click here to go to her website and see some of the pictures of Charlotte. They're fantastic!
Here's a sneak peek:
