Josie is 3!

Back in July, our little Josie turned 3 years old! Crazy! By that point, we knew we were going to be moving in the next couple of weeks, so we decided to have a birthday party for Josie and invite her friends that she wouldn't be able to play with anymore once we moved. We had a Princess Party! First, the girls got to decorate tiaras:
Then they all got a magic wand and we had a princess parade:
After that, we played pin the kiss on the frog.. somehow we missed getting any pictures of that. Then it was time for cake and presents! (The best part, I know..) Josie decided she wanted a frog on her cake, because I had made a frog for the game and she loved it.
Thanks friends, Josie had a fantastic party and LOVED the presents!
The very next day was the family party for July birthdays, so Josie got yet another cake.. this time she chose a butterfly.
On her actual birthday, she got to open presents from the out-of-town family. Thanks to everyone for making Josie feel so special, she had a GREAT birthday!
As for little Charlotte, well, she's still hanging around and being cute. :)

Kirk and Ginny Come to Play..

In the middle of July, our friends Kirk and Ginny came and stayed with us for a few days. It was a blast! We wish they lived closer!
Once again, pictures are all out of order. Oh well.

We had a mishap with some laundry detergent falling behind the washer, and this is how we got it out.. haha

We went to the zoo, Charlotte dug it.

We had some fun times in the pool.
And we played and had a good time! I unfortunately didn't get any pictures of anything else we did, but we loved having them visit and hope they can come back again sometime!!

June and July

Well, the bad news is the I never did find my camera cord. The good news is that I bought a new one and here come the pictures once again! We had a pretty busy summer, so I just posted a few pictures from some of the things we did this summer. Oh, and I didn't remember how to get them up in the right order, so they are backwards. :)

We finally broke down and bought Charlotte a Bumbo seat. She's thrilled about it.
We had a sleepover at my friend Kami's house. We had 8 kids and 3 moms. It was a ton of fun! Here are the kids getting settled in their tent. None of them made it through the night. hah.
Josie thought that she needed a chair, since Charlotte had one..
Watching Baby Signing Time together.
At the beginning of July, we went to Island Park with Justin's family. Josie was the early morning wake-up call for Mimi and Papa!
Josie's favorite thing to do up there: float down the river in boats!
On the 4th of July, we had a bike parade, followed by a 1 car parade that threw LOTS of candy. Josie didn't much like the bike part..
But she LOVED getting candy!
We got our jumper back out and Charlotte loves to hang out in it.
Late nights get rough on everyone!
In June, we had a family reunion with Justin's extended family. There were lots of fun things to do, including tandem bikes and wiggle cars:
Uncle Tim liked the wiggle cars so much, he didn't want to share.
And here is a cute family picture:

Another update

So I still haven't found the cord to my camera, and now that most of our stuff is in storage, it will probably be a while before I can find it. So for now we will just be doing updates without pictures. Sad, I know!

Here is what has been happening with us:
We sold our house, FINALLY! Hurray! The buyer decided that he wanted to close early, so instead of having 2 weeks to pack everything up, I ended up having about 3 days. It was a ca-razy week, but thanks to all the family and friends who helped, we made it! We are currently living in my brother-in-law's basement while we save some money. Josie is loving being here where she has someone to play with her ALL THE TIME. She gets a little crazy sometimes, but overall she is great. Charlotte is now almost 7 months old. She is rolling and scooting around, trying to get places and eat things. Her smiles are the best! We just did her 6 month check-up today (I know, I'm late!) and here are her stats:
Height: 25.4 inches, 20th percentile
Weight: 14lbs, 8 oz, 10th percentile
She's just a little miss, but her growth trend is normal and all her developmental milestones are normal. And she's pretty sweet to boot! :)

Well, there you have it. Hopefully the next post will have some pictures of our sweet little girls. :)

Update

Exciting news: We have a buyer for our house!! Hurray! And so far everything is going great. Offer all signed? Check. Inspection? Check. Appraisal? Check! The next step is getting the loan approved, and the deadline for that is August 8. We are SO excited!! And as you can imagine, I've been going a little crazy trying to get everything packed up to move. We are going to move in with Justin's brother and his family for a few months while we save up the down payment to get a house down somewhere between North Ogden and Clearfield.
I was really looking forward to taking a break from packing today and posting a bunch of pictures and telling all about our fabulous summer, but I seem to have packed the cord to my camera, and until I figure out where, I won't be posting any pictures.
Suffice it to say, we're having a great summer. Charlotte is getting big and sharing her giggles and smiles more often, and my little Josie is going to be THREE YEARS OLD on Sunday! I know everyone says how fast they grow up.. but it is SO true!! I can't believe she is almost 3!!
And now we're very excited to be moving. Josie asks every day if it is time to pack and when we are going to move. Her toys even play packing and moving these days. Well, I guess it's time to go search for my camera cord in the boxes I just packed.. ha ha! Happy Summer!

3 months old

Man, time is flying! Charlotte is already 3 months old! Some days it seems like I just brought her home yesterday. Other days it seems like FOREVER. haha!
It just so happened that I was pregnant with Charlotte at the same time that 2 of my friends were pregnant. We all had little girls and they are within 2 weeks of each other!
Josie wanted to eat her snack outside. I told her to find a place to sit.. Well, it is a place and she is sitting. :)
This is a pretty typical morning while Mommy gets ready.
Here's another of Charlotte's friends. I think he's 2 days younger, but he's a big boy, and oh so cute!
Publish PostWe have lots of fun activities planned for the month of June, so hopefully I'll be able to keep up with the pictures. :)

The Month of May

This post is going to be mostly pictures with just a few explanations because, well, I had lots of pictures I wanted to post. :)
Here is what a typical Sunday before church looks like at our house:
My sweet little girls are getting so big!!
Josie is really getting into playing dress-up. Here's a pretty typical result:
Love bubble baths. Josie called this her bubble-stache. Silly girl!
Charlotte is getting too big too fast! She holds her head up very well and loves to look around and say hi.
Justin has every other Friday off, and on one of those days, we decided to take a trip down to the aquarium. It was small enough that we could just let Josie walk and check things out at her pace. She loved it!
Me and Josie measuring up to the penguins.
The had a ray petting pool. Josie loved the idea. The execution, not as much. She's get her hand in the water and as soon as one came close she'd squeal and pull her hand out and say, "Daddy, I touched it!" Here we are trying to pet them.
We stopped at In-n-out on the way home and had lunch with Nate, Kelley and Gavin. And here is Josie sporting her souvenirs from the day: In-n-out had and an aquarium sticker.
Cute baby having a nap in her swing.
Josie's new best friends were living right across the street from us. It worked out great because the 3 of them LOVED playing together. The sad news is that they had to move. Here they are on their last play date.
They were nice enough to give us their swing set that they weren't planning on taking with them. Thank you!! Josie absolutely LOVES it.
So, that's our month of May in a nutshell. June promises to be a busy, busy month, so I'll try to keep on top of blogging so I don't have to do another super post like this one. Happy summer!
