Bow Website

Since bragging about my craftiness, I've had a few people ask me about the website I found. Here are the links to a couple. The bows are actually REALLY easy to make. So check it out, share it, whatever.

Thanksgiving Trip Pictures

The Bumbo Chair. Josie loved it. It has a high back/sides so it helps her to sit up without someone holding her.

Playing with Uncle Greg in the bumbo chair.

Playing with the red ball.

Tackled by cousin Noah.

Holding hands with Noah. They did that all on their own! It was sooo cute. I'm sure they were really just trying to eat each other.

Josie, Greg (my brother) and Justin

Kimberly (my sister) and Josie

Rice Cereal Face! She had her first cereal as her Thanksgiving feast. She loves it!

Eating rice cereal for the first time. Here's a video of how much she loved it. You can hear me cracking up.

Noah (6 mo) and Josie (4 mo)
I really tried to make a conscious effort to take pictures of everything that was going and not just pictures of Joslyn, but I realized that the camera only came out when the babies were doing something cute. As a result, I only have 2 pictures without a baby in it...
Crazy Greg (playing with baby toys...)

And someone bowling. I think it's Nate, Kelley's boyfriend.
P.S. Just a quick brag, so everyone can be proud of me, I made all of the bows that Josie is wearing in these pictures. I found a website with instructions and decided to be crafty. :)

Home again, home again..

We had quite the eventful week this past week. On Tuesday night, we met up with my sister and her boyfriend and drove to California to spend the rest of the week with my siblings there. It was great fun to see them and spend time with them. I was excited for them all to see Josie for the first time and we got to see baby Noah for the first time. The drive down was great. We only had to stop twice for Josie, and she slept the rest of the time. While there, we did a lot of eating and card-playing. (Rook is a family fave). Also, my sister has a Wii, so we had some serious Mario Kart challenges going on. :) I haven't unburied my camera yet, so I will post pictures in a day or 2 when I get around to it. We were there until Sunday morning, and unfortunately, that drive wasn't as nice. We had to stop 4 times to feed the bebe, and there was lots of crying in between. I think if I was in her position, I would have cried too. She got so happy every time we took her out of the carseat, and would start bawling whenever we put her back in. Poor thing! She's back to her happy self now that carseat time is limited. The big reason (aside from seeing family, of course) that we went to Cali, was the great car exchange. My sister bought a new car, so we did a little car shuffling, and now I'm driving around a sweet little VW. We had bought the car together years ago, before I moved to Utah. When I came out here, she took over payments. So really, its like a reunion. I love this little car!!

Cousins

We were lucky enough to spend the weekend with my sister Kelley, and my sister-in-law, Trisha. Trisha is visiting from Hawaii with her kids. We wish that Dan could have come too, but it was great to see Trisha and her adorable little ones. Here are some pictures of Josie with her Hawaii cousins.

Josie and Brandson. Josie is about 2 months older than Brandson.

Brandson (2 mo), Naylia (2 1/2) and Josie (4 mo)

The other exciting thing that happened this weekend is that I lost my voice and Josie found hers. Here is a sample of her favorite noise to make now. Its a happy/angry/sad/all purpose noise to her. So fun... and so loud!

all grown up

I haven't updated for a while, so I decided it was about time. The thing that made me think of updating today is that I had the sad realization that my baby is growing and FAST! This morning, we were playing on the floor in the living room and she was trying to get a toy into her mouth (Of course). It wouldn't cooperate, so she wiggled around until all of a sudden she rolled right over onto her tummy! The poor toy was then right under her face and had no escape. I just couldn't believe it! She's not supposed to be that big yet! She loves to stand and is even trying to sit up these days. She tries to pull herself up whenever she gets the chance. And, she gets thrilled whenever we sit her up somewhere where she has a good view. (Like the barstool at the counter). We gave her a bottle last weekend, and she decided that she wanted to try holding the bottle! We had to take the head cushion out of the carseat because it was too small for her and instead bought some of the little pads that hook on to the shoulder belts. I've had to put away all of her newborn clothes (FINALLY) and even some of the 3 mo. stuff. I can't believe she is almost 4 months old! She'll be eating rice cereal in no time! When she was brand new, she used to fall asleep on my shoulder all the time. Now, she just wants to look around and play and gets mad at me when I try to cuddle. How sad! But at the same time, we are having a lot of fun with this stage too. Its like my mom said, your favorite stage is usually the one they are in, but you always miss the stages they leave behind.
We've had some fun this week. Joslyn has been spending more time in her jungle jumper and has really started to love it. She's even figured out how to make it move around by keeping one leg on the ground and wiggling the other all over the place. Its so funny! The lights and sounds are her favorite part though. She'll just sit there and watch them for a long time.

On Monday night, we got to baby-sit while Justin's brother and his wife went to a concert here in Logan. We made Rolo cookies (always a favorite!), colored, drew mazes, and played Hi-Ho Cherry-O! While we were making the cookies, Justin played some fun songs on the guitar. The favorites were "I am a Child of God", "You are my Sunshine", and the one he made up about the tractor, goats, and making cookies. It was a lot of fun. I makes me more excited for Josie to get older (just not too fast!!)
Last but not least, here is one of my favorite pictures of the week. She's getting ready to punch Dad in the nose. He was probably making fun of her outfit. (There was a diaper incident and those were only clean pants left!)

More Baby Pictures

Maybe one day I'll stop taking so many pictures of Josie. But until then, I'll be posting lots. :) Here are a few of the fun ones this week.

Most babies are propped up sitting down. Josie doesn't like to sit. She likes to stand. And she wedges into the couch so well...

Joslyn was being fussy, so to distract her from crying, Justin took her for a ride in the laundry basket around the house. (Don't worry, it was clean!)

I decided to see how Josie liked drumming. The wooden spoon was the drumstick and my big exercise ball was the drum. She didn't like drumming as much as she like the spoon..

I let Josie play in her crib for a while one morning while I was putting her laundry away. If you look at her hand placement, you can see that she's got her little fingers on the blue button that turns on her fish aquarium thingy. For about 5 minutes, she was turning it off and on. So funny!

Halloween Pictures

I've learned that waiting until Halloween morning to put together a costume isn't the best idea. As a result, Justin and I didn't dress up. But we dressed Joslyn up and went down to Mimi and Papa's house to see all the cousins. It was a lot of fun to see their costumes. Everyone was so cute. Well, except the scary ones. :) Here are some pictures.
