Happy Halloween!

I hope you are all having a happy Halloween! Here is what we've been up to the rest of this month:
In the car one day, Josie said, "Mama, take a picture of me!"
I may be biased, but I think she's about the cutest thing ever! Here's a couple shots of our pumpkins this year. Justin's mom GREW that mammoth Mr. Potato-head pumpkin in her garden! I'm impressed!

Logan always has an array of Halloween activites going on, and we have a blast hitting a few of them and getting some extra use out of those costumes! Here is Josie ready to go to the Library's Halloween Story-time on Friday:
We went Trick-or-Treating at the mall on Saturday morning:

For those of you who don't live in Utah, when Halloween lands on Sunday up here, the majority of people go Trick-or-Treating on the 30th. So that's what we did this year. We braved the rain and the cold and went out with some of Justin's family. She was the cutest little fairy out there! Unfortunately, we had to put her coat on before too long. At least she still had the wings outside her coat!
Enjoying the loot afterwards.
We had to get a shot of Josie and Tucker--their 3rd Halloween! Neither one really wanted to take a picture. They wanted to eat candy!

Happy Halloween!!

Fall!

We love fall! Couldn't you tell?
We've been enjoying the outdoors as much as we can before it gets too cold. One of Josie's favorites is the Willow Park Zoo.
Rockstar!
We get together with Justin's family every year and paint pumpkins. Josie was VERY excited to paint her own pumpkin this year. Here are a few shots of that:

And she's still a pro at putting together her own outfits...

Hogle Zoo and Pumpkin Walk

We went to check out the Hogle Zoo with Kelley, Trisha and their kids. We all had a blast!
They had this elephant out by the real elephants. He makes noises and sprays water out of his trunk. Josie was the only one brave enough to sit with Aunt Kelley. And by brave enough, I mean I sat her there and Kelley held onto her.
We took a lunch break and had a fun picnic.
Checking out how all the kids compare to gorillas in size..
They had a playground in the kids area, and I must say, this was my least favorite part of the zoo! Instead of being in a compact area, the playground is spread out in a long strip. After losing sight of all the kids a couple times, we moved on.
Here we are at the end of the day:
Yesterday, Josie and I decided to make cookies. She's a fantastic sprinkler!

Last night we went to check out the annual Pumpkin Walk. Josie LOVED it and did not want to leave. Ever.
Here are some of the fun things we saw:
In case you don't remember from last year, these displays are made using LOTS of pumpkins. Every character is part pumpkin. Its amazing to see how creative people can get! Here are just a few of my favorites. There were SO many cool displays!
As we were leaving, I was able to distract Josie from throwing a fit just long enough to snap this picture:
And by popular demand, here is a picture of how BIG I am getting!
I am officially 21 weeks today (over half-way!) and in case you hadn't heard, it's a girl! We are excited to have two little princesses running around.
Now if only we could think of a name for her.. :)

September

And I am FINALLY caught up with my pictures! Here we are at the very end of September and I'm already putting up my September pictures. Hurray!
Toy Story 3 came to the cheap theater here and we decided it would be fun to take Josie to the "big movie". If things didn't go well, it was $6 total and we didn't feel bad about walking out on that. Luckily, Josie LOVED it. (Especially the buttery popcorn). This is before the movie started, so we didn't disturb anyone's show.

Getting Josie to stand still for pictures is work these days. And we end up with shots like this:

She is figuring out the joys of dressing herself, starting with the shoes.

We decided to start looking for a winter coat, since we know it's coming. We found this on a GREAT deal and its adorable! She wanted to wear it every day, so I had to hide it for now.

My mom mailed us this amazing dress she made out of one of my old prom dresses. No pattern, she just made it. If you don't know my mom, she's the most amazingly talented person I know. :) It was my niece's Halloween costume last year, and will probably be Josie's next year. It's still a little big.

We celebrated Brandson's 2nd birthday with the family. Josie loved this pool! She stayed out long after the other kids came in.

Dan and Trisha came up one day to help get our house ready to sell. Josie followed Uncle Dan around ALL day.
This last Saturday we went up to Bear Lake to hang out with some friends at a cabin. It was my first time going there, which is SAD since I have lived so close for over 5 years...
It was gorgeous!

Josie made a new best friend: Olivia. They played so cute together all day long.

We came home with a souvenir: a nice black eye! Josie fell and hit/cut right below her eye. She's got a pretty good shiner now! This is Sunday:

And here it is today:
Enjoy the rest of September! :)
